French Onion Pork Chops
The Classic Taste of French Onion Soup on a Pork Chop
Ingredients
- 4-5 ea pork chops, 3/4-inch thick
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 large onions , sliced into rings (brown, yellow or white)
- 2 garlic cloves , minced
- 1.5 Tbs 25g butter (or olive oil)
- 1 tsp oil , if needed
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup beef broth/stock , low sodium
- 2 Tbs flour
- 4 slices Gruyere Cheese
- 1 tsp Finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
- Additional Ingredients
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- 1/2 cup red or white wine
- 1 Tbs worchester sauce
- 1 splash cognac

Arrange all the Ingredients:
- Chop one onion – cut off both ends, and slice in half. Take each half and slice clean through to make half moon onion rings.
