Grilled Ribs

Ribs on the BBQ

  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1/4 cup cumin
  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic
  • 1/4 cup dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons mustard powder
  • 2 tablespoons black powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • Your favorite bottled BBQ Sauce (we use Austin’s.)
  1. Place all spices in a spice grinder or magic bullet and pulse to grind finely.
  2. Using gloves, rub your spice mix all over ribs and allow to marinate this way for at least an hour. ** I often prepare ribs up to this point, and wrap in foil and place in the freezer. This way I have it all ready to go for the next time.**
  3. Grill slowly, 2-3 hours, with enough heat to cook, but not enough heat to burn – approx 250.
  4. In the last 10 minutes, brush your bbq sauce on the ribs and allow to cook for a few minutes.
